Visit of the University of Tsukuba Delegation to TSUOS

In March 2026, a delegation consisting of representatives from the University of Tsukuba (Japan), along with other prestigious higher education institutions, paid a successful visit to the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Higher School of Japanese Studies, where productive negotiations were held on a number of important issues aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Marufkhoja Nazimkhadjaev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Oriental Languages and Literature under TSUOS, and N. T. Khalmurzayeva, Head of the Higher School of Japanese Studies.

A number of key areas were thoroughly discussed during the dialogue, including opportunities for organizing students’ teaching internships at partner universities, holding student forums and exchanging experience, as well as ensuring the delegation’s participation in an international conference planned for the coming year. Important agreements were reached on these issues.

The delegation included representatives from the University of Tsukuba — Prof. Dr. Hirofumi Hamada, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuanysh Tastanbekova, Assist. Prof. Dr. Masashi Asakura, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Grigory Mishochko from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shinae Jang from Kyoai Gakuen University.

This visit marked an important step in strengthening the international cooperation of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and in advancing its educational and scientific activities to a new level.
