Duties of the Center
The following are the main tasks of the Center:
– Conduct scientific research for an in-depth study of Vietnamese culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and the Vietnamese language, focusing on the development of cooperative relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
– Train scientific and pedagogical staff in the Vietnamese language and collaborate with local and Vietnamese partners on scientific research, including the preparation of scientific projects, dissertations, monographs, and articles.
– Promote Vietnamese and Uzbek languages and cultures globally by conducting comparative studies on the linguistic situations in Vietnam and Uzbekistan, as well as on their respective cultures, and integrating these findings into the educational process.
– Analyze the activities of leading higher education institutions and research centers in Vietnam to develop modernized curriculum recommendations for courses in language, literature, history, economics, and political science for bachelor’s and master’s programs.
– Translate and publish works on the culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and language of Vietnam into Uzbek and vice versa, to introduce each country’s cultural values and heritage to the world.
– Organize scientific conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions with partner institutions, research centers, and international organizations in Vietnam, focusing on the development and prospects of Vietnamese studies.
– Enhance the qualifications of teachers and researchers through the organization of scientific seminars, roundtable discussions, and various conferences.
– Regularly publish materials showcasing the center’s scientific research results in foreign publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as in national and university publications.
– Offer courses on “Fundamentals of Scientific Writing” for teachers, doctoral students, and independent researchers engaged in scientific work in the Republic.
– Involve leading Vietnamese scientists from both Uzbekistan and Vietnam in the center’s activities.
– Actively participate in cultivating a new generation of experts capable of researching and analyzing Vietnamese culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and language.
– Collaborate with talented students, master’s candidates, and doctoral students on start-up and innovative projects, conducting scientific seminars and project presentations with leading research centers and higher education institutions in Vietnam.
– Monitor and ensure the timely completion of research projects in the field of Vietnamese studies at the university.
The center performs the following functions in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:
– The university conducts research based on the scientific work and the action plan of the center.
– It organizes seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences on current issues in Vietnamese studies.
– The university prepares analytical articles and reports to convey research results to the public, in accordance with the approved plan of the University and the Center.
– It collaborates with foreign experts to develop educational courses and literature.
– The university participates in other analytical projects that align with its goals and objectives.
– University professors, students, researchers, master’s candidates, employees of state management bodies, representatives of analytical centers, scientific institutions, and specialists from foreign countries are involved in organizing the center’s activities.
– The university coordinates graduation qualification works, master’s and doctoral theses, and various research and analytical projects related to Vietnamese culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and language in collaboration with the relevant departments.
– It develops proposals to study and implement advanced foreign practices in conducting scientific research on Vietnamese culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and language.
– The university contributes to the strengthening of cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and Vietnam through scientific research aimed at an in-depth study of Vietnamese culture, history, literature, economy, politics, and language.
– It prepares materials addressing various aspects and current issues in Vietnamese studies.
