Expanding International Cooperation: Meeting with the Ambassador of Mongolia at the TSUOS
On March 24, 2026, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted an official delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Daadanhuu Batbaatar.
As part of the visit, the delegation members toured the university museum and received detailed information about its unique historical sources, academic heritage, and the stages of the university’s development. A presentation was also delivered on the university’s modern structure, priority academic programs, and international activities.
During the meeting, the following priority areas were discussed:
• establishing institutional cooperation with higher education institutions of Mongolia;
• introducing student and faculty exchange programs;
• engaging Mongolian students in summer school programs organized at the university;
• studying ancient Turkic inscriptions located in Mongolia;
• producing a documentary film dedicated to this heritage with the support of the embassy;
• developing joint historical and scientific projects between universities of the two countries.
This visit will contribute to strengthening systematic academic cooperation, deepening research activities, and advancing historical and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Mongolia to a new level.
