TASHKENT STATE UNIVERSITY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES INFORMATION LETTER OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC

CONFERENCE on the topic

“Central and South Asia: at the Crossroads of Intercultural Communication”

The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education” and the “National Personnel Training Program” serve as the basis for ensuring the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 20, 2011 “On measures to strengthen the material and technical base of higher educational institutions and radically improve the quality of training of highly qualified specialists”, and tasks specified in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 10, 2012 “On measures to further improve the system of studying foreign languages”. In order to implement these resolutions, the Conference is being organized which will be held on October 8-9, 2022

The Conference is organized in the following areas:

1. Issues of linguistics and literary criticism

2. Intercultural communication and problems of translation

3. Studies on historical relations, historiography and philosophy

4. Issues of textual criticism and source studies

The Conference proceedings cover the following topics:

  •  Current concerns of linguistics in South Asian countries;
  •  Modern concerns of comparative-typological study of South Asian languages (problems of studying South Asian languages in diachronic and synchronous aspects);
  •  Issues of interaction in the literary processes of the countries of South Asia: the ancient times, Middle Ages and the new era (stages and new aspects of the literary relations of the countries of South Asia);
  •  Issues of translating masterpieces of Indian literature into Uzbek and works of Uzbek literature into the languages of South Asia;
  •  Culture and art of South Asian countries and their study in Uzbekistan;
  •  The Baburids era in India: language, literature, history and culture; Cultural ties between the countries of South Asia and Uzbekistan during the period of independence;
  • Historical roots of relations between the countries of South Asia and Central Asia.

Articles must be prepared in accordance with the following requirements:

1) The total volume of the article is 8-10 pages.

2) Text format in MS Word, Times New Roman font, spacing 1.5, size 14. (in written and electronic version).

3) The text of the article is edited in A-4 format, leaving 2 cm above and below, 3 cm on the left and 1.5 cm on the right.

4) In the middle of the upper part of the article, the title of the article is given in bold capital letters. In the middle of the next line, the following information about the author should be indicated: surname, name, patronymic, degree and title, place of work (name of higher educational institution, city, country), telephone number and e-mail address are in italics.

5) Abstract and keywords are written in three languages: Uzbek, Russian, English. The size must not exceed 250 characters without spaces. Keywords: 5-6 words.

6) Accepted materials will be published as a collection of conference materials.

7) An electronic DOI is obtained for each article and each article is indexed in Google Scholar.

8) Articles that do not correspond to the theme of the conference, scientific norms and technical requirements will not be accepted.

9) Articles are accepted until September 10, 2022.

The article must be prepared in the following order:

• Abstract, keywords

• Main part

• Conclusion

• References
