Carbon management and reducing carbon dioxide emissions
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies is dedicated to fostering a sustainable future through proactive carbon management and energy efficiency initiatives. Recognizing the critical role that educational institutions play in addressing climate change, TSUOS has implemented a comprehensive strategy aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions across its campus.
At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, environmentally friendly solar panels and solar-powered street lighting systems have been installed in order to support sustainable energy use on campus. These initiatives reflect the university’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact by harnessing renewable energy sources, which not only decrease reliance on traditional power grids but also promote eco-friendly practices in campus infrastructure. Additionally, the university consistently monitors its natural gas usage to ensure efficient energy management. Annual reports detailing the total consumption of natural gas are prepared and made available to the public, demonstrating TSUOS’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its sustainability efforts.
