TSUOS Delegation’s Visit to the “Rasana” International Institute of Iranian Studies

On February 17, 2025, a delegation from Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies visited the “Rasana” International Institute of Iranian Studies in Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, the parties agreed to develop bilateral scientific cooperation and systematically work in the following seven key areas:
1. Conducting joint research on the markets of Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan for investors from both countries.
2. Comparative analysis of research on Iranian studies, Afghan studies, Syria, and Turkey conducted by experts from TSUOS and the “Rasana” Institute.
3. Identifying and deeply studying pressing topics related to Central Asian countries.
4. Researching and promoting the scientific heritage of Central Asian scholars at the international level.
5. Establishing a 30-day doctoral exchange program for academic research and knowledge sharing.
6. Organizing an international conference in 2026 with experts from Central Asia and Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the “Rasana” Institute and TSUOS.
7. Translating and publishing books of significant importance to both countries.
At the conclusion of the visit, experts from the “Rasana” Institute highly praised Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, referring to the country as the “Rome of the East” in terms of tourism potential. Additionally, future plans and initiatives for attracting Arab tourists to Uzbekistan were discussed.
