Rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies: Women’s activity should be used more widely in public diplomacy
Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Gulchehra Rikhsieva commented on the importance of the forthcoming SCO People’s Diplomacy Forum (“Tashkent – 2022”) on “People’s diplomacy – mutual cooperation for development.” .
– In our regional development, it is important to determine the direction of development of people’s diplomacy in the relations of the SCO member states, to determine the place and contribution of this modern field.
In this sense, as in the history of the peoples of the world, it is worth noting that the past of our country has been actively involved in solving many complex issues. Indeed, women’s activism needs to be more widely used in public diplomacy, which is evident in the way people live their lives. The research of the SCO Center for People’s Diplomacy in Uzbekistan is noteworthy. In particular, the SCO Forum of Women Leaders is an example of this. Every year, the Center organizes various meetings and roundtables between foreign women working in the embassies and missions of the SCO member states in Uzbekistan and prominent women in the field of senators, deputies, scientists, poets, science and culture. -girl participation is expanding.
It is gratifying that the participation of women, including our female athletes, in significantly raising the image of our country is significantly increasing. Today the world recognizes Iroda Tulaganova. All sports fans will be envious of Oksana Chusovitina’s long-standing record. Zulfiya Aya from the village of Khanabad in Zangiota District, who lost five of her sons in the brutal war, and the film “Ilhaq” about her are in fact the brightest source of public diplomacy. Let’s take the life and work of the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan – Zulfiya. Our poet, who was widowed with two children before the age of 30, remained faithful to the love of another beloved poet of our people – Hamid Olimjon for more than half a century.
Achieving such greatness is not easy. It is necessary to strengthen this tenacity through the people’s diplomacy, as well as the loyalty of the woman of the East, the strong will of the mother of the East.
