Conferences devoted to issues of Korean studies
A group of professors, teachers, and researchers of the Faculty of Korean Studies of TSUOS participated in the 11th International Central Asian Conference “Changing Central Asia and the New Paradigm of Korean Studies” on the current issues of Korean Studies on June 16-17, 2023 in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. Lecturers and researchers of the Department of Korean History, Culture, Politics and Economy L.A. Alimova’s lecture entitled “The Influence of Confucianism on Cultural and Gender Relations in South Korea” and Ph.D. D.R. Ashirbaeva’s lecture on “Transmission of emotionality and expressiveness in units of address in Korean and Uzbek languages” attracted the special interest of the participants of the conference. Both lectures ended with a lively discussion.
In addition, on July 10-14, 2023, the next “21st International Conference of Korean Language Specialists” was held in Incheon, South Korea, on the issues of Korean language education abroad. Yunusova Gulshoda Dilshadovna, associate professor (Ph.D.) of the Department of “Korean Philology”, attended the conference with her lecture.
