Weekend in Boysun
To further promote domestic tourism and raise awareness of Uzbekistan’s rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage, the Tourism Working Group of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies organized a promotional event under the slogan “Weekend in Boysun” in Boysun District of Surkhandarya Region.
As part of the event, members of the working group visited some of Boysun’s most renowned historical, pilgrimage, and ecotourism sites, gaining first-hand insight into the district’s tourism potential.
Among the destinations visited were the centuries-old Sayrob Plane Tree, the picturesque Qizilnavr Waterfall, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, the sacred Khoja Qochqor Ota Pilgrimage Site, and the historically significant Khoja Maykhona complex.
During the visit, participants were provided with information about the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of these sites. Special attention was also given to promoting Boysun’s tourism opportunities, attracting both domestic and international visitors, and fostering a culture of travel among young people and the wider public.
The event is expected to contribute to the promotion of Boysun’s rich historical heritage, unique natural landscapes, and pilgrimage tourism potential, while encouraging greater domestic tourism throughout the region.
