Caring for the Elderly – The Foundation of a Compassionate Society
On April 8, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Politics, and Tourism of Eastern Countries at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Ch. Khusanov, along with the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs, O. Mardaev, and student representatives Imron Rajabov and Elyor Ergashboev, visited elderly residents of the Afrosiyob mahalla as part of the “Month of Mercy and Kindness” initiative.
This initiative directly contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by promoting the mental and emotional well-being of elderly individuals. Social interactions and community support play a crucial role in reducing loneliness, improving mental health, and ensuring the elderly feel valued and cared for. Caring for older generations is essential for a healthy and compassionate society.
