“Mehrli yurak” Project Implemented by the TSUOS Team and Youth Union Members
The “Mehrli yurak” (“Kind Heart”) project, implemented by the team of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) together with members of the Youth Union, represents a meaningful social initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in society. This activity is closely aligned with SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, which focuses on eliminating hunger and ensuring food security.
During the visit to the “Taskin” children’s hospice in the Zangiota district, participants provided both material and emotional support to children in need. Such actions contribute to meeting essential needs, including access to food, which is one of the core targets of SDG 2.
Furthermore, a charity event dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) was organized. Female students prepared homemade sweets, sold them, and donated the collected funds to orphanages and institutions supporting people with disabilities. This initiative reflects key elements of social marketing, where the primary goal is to create positive social impact rather than profit.
In conclusion, the “Mehrli yurak” project plays a significant role in promoting charity culture, strengthening social responsibility, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
