Seminar-Training “Occupational Safety at the University: Safe Working Environment”
On July 2, 2025, a seminar-training titled “Occupational Safety at the University: Safe Working Environment” was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the Trade Union and the Department of Civil Protection and Labor Safety. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 – ensuring safe and decent working conditions, protecting employee health, and improving labor productivity.
The seminar was attended by Trade Union Chairman Ch. Qodirov, Head of the Labor Protection Department Sh. Jo‘rayev, and engineer G. Habibullayeva. Participants were provided with detailed information on workplace safety rules, occupational safety standards, health protection measures, and the importance of complying with safety requirements in daily work activities.
In addition, employees were introduced to the labor protection legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including their rights and responsibilities. This contributes to the creation of a safe working environment and the prevention of workplace accidents.
This seminar-training played an important role in enhancing employees’ knowledge and skills in occupational safety, fostering a safe and healthy work environment, and contributing to sustainable economic development.
