Supporting government in clean energy policy development
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) not only provides the government with various recommendations and suggestions for achieving energy efficiency, but also diligently fulfills government directives on promoting energy efficiency and supporting green energy initiatives. The university submits regular reports to the Ministry on the implementation of these directives.
For example, on May 30, 2023, TSUOS Rector, Gulchehra Rikhsieva, met with Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov. During this meeting, the rector presented updates on the university’s progress toward fulfilling its goals and the tasks set by the President and government. The discussion included the university’s ongoing efforts to improve energy efficiency through the installation of energy-saving technologies, particularly solar panels.
Through a proactive approach in advising the government on energy policy and implementing energy-saving initiatives on campus, TSUOS demonstrates its commitment to supporting national goals in energy efficiency and green energy. Regular collaboration with the Ministry and transparent reporting further strengthen the university’s role as a key partner in achieving sustainable development objectives.
