The Public Council
The Public Council at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies is one of the bodies of public administration of the university.
The Council carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this Statute and other legislative acts.
The main tasks of the Council are:
– examines the presence of a healthy spiritual and moral atmosphere among the teaching staff and other employees, as well as students and analyzes the causes that lead to the violation of this environment, gives the necessary recommendations;
– the teacher examines the plan of activities on spiritual and educational issues, analyzes and clarifies the reasons why these activities should not interfere with the educational process, unreasonably release students from educational activities, involve them in various activities, draws conclusions;
– monitors the involvement of students in classes, various household chores on campus, and takes measures to prevent absences from classes because of these activities;
– supervises the observance of the principles of social justice in the social protection of the faculty and other employees in assigning them bonuses, takes into account in awarding the person the conscientious and diligent performance of his official duties, active participation in community service, spiritual and educational activities;
– makes recommendations to prevent the spread among students of such vices as disorganization, immorality, drug addiction, alcoholism, and in cooperation with the parents’ council to counteract these negative situations, monitor and take measures to improve the situation;
– monitors the progress of work on the social protection of faculty and other employees, as well as students, providing them with material assistance and makes recommendations in this direction.
