TSUOS Tourism Working Group Conducted Seminars and Training Sessions on Tourism Sites in Schools of Fergana Region
In order to ensure the implementation of Instruction No. 01-16-237 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 6, 2025, as well as the tasks outlined in Presidential Resolutions No. PQ-135 of April 26, 2023, and No. PQ-269 of July 18, 2024, a comprehensive action plan for the 2025 tourism season is being systematically implemented to enhance the tourism potential of regions assigned to higher education institutions.
As part of these initiatives, the Tourism Working Group of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), led by Associate Professor PhD Bobir Odilov, collected historical, cultural, and scientifically grounded information on tourism sites in Rishton District of Fergana Region and carried out research aimed at increasing their tourism potential and attractiveness.
In addition, practical measures were undertaken to improve the quality of tourism services in the region. Short-term courses, seminars, and training sessions were organized for specialists working in the hotel industry and service sector. During these activities, participants received training on service culture, tourism infrastructure management, effective utilization of the region’s historical and cultural heritage, and international tourism standards.
