A MEETING WAS HELD WITH LOLA ABDUVAHIDOVNA SAIDOVA ON “GENDER EQUALITY AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF HUMAN RIGHTS.”
The Law on Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men emphasizes the prohibition of direct and indirect gender discrimination against women. This law was developed in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 7, 2019 “On measures to further strengthen the guarantees of women’s labor rights and support entrepreneurship.”
The purpose of this law is to protect women from all forms of oppression and violence in marriage, the workplace, educational institutions and elsewhere. One of the important tasks of the law is to regulate relations in this area, to provide legal and social protection to victims of repression and violence. In order to promote these ideas to young people, a meeting was held on April 20 at Tashkent State University of Law with Lola Abduvahidovna Saidova, Professor of the Center for Legal Education under the Ministry of Justice, on “Gender equality as an integral part of society.”
G.SH.Lola Abduvahidovna provided a lot of information on the topic at the meeting, which was opened by University Rector Rixsiyeva. University students approached the specialist with their questions and received the necessary answers.
