Distance learning begins at the Faculty of Korean Studies

The Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Korean Studies, is planning a number of projects in 2020 to further enrich the knowledge and skills of students, as well as to create various opportunities for them. These projects include strengthening cooperation with high-potential Korean higher education institutions. In particular, from February 11, 2020 at the Faculty of Korean Studies will begin distance learning courses on “Development of Korean corporations, their role in the country’s economy” with Hanyang University, which is among the top 10 universities in the Republic of Korea and 500 universities in the world. During the course, students will learn about the stages of development of the Korean economy, the role of corporations in the development of society, business development and the conditions created for startups. The online course was conducted by Professor Liu Zhu Han, Professor of International Relations, Hanyang University. Choi So Yong, a volunteer teacher at the Korean Foundation at the Department of Korean History and Culture, will represent Uzbekistan. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and will last for 16 weeks. These collaborative courses are important in further enhancing students ’knowledge of the Korean economy. Classes will be attended by 10 students with a degree in Korean Philology, 5 students with a degree in Korean Economics and Politics, and 5 students with a degree in Korean History and Culture, totally 20 students. During the distance learning project, students take two exams. The student with the highest score on the exam will have the opportunity to attend summer school in the Republic of Korea.
