Department of “Source studies and mystical hermeneutics”
Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 16, 2020 No. PQ-4680 “On measures to radically improve the training system and increase scientific potential in the field of Oriental Studies” and Decree of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 18, 2020 No. 265 Tashkent State University Oriental Studies was created on the basis of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks specified in Order No. According to the decision of the meeting No. 1 of the University Council dated May 15, 2020, changes were made to its structural structure, the Charter of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was approved on the basis of the order of the Rector of the University on June 1 2020, and from the new 2020-2021 academic year, the Faculty of Oriental Civilization and History, created at the University Department of Oriental Studies and Hermeneutics of Sufism, began its activities.
24 subjects are taught at the Department of Source Studies and Hermeneutics of Sufism. Of these, 8 subjects are taught at the undergraduate level and 16 at the master’s level. Leading professors and teachers of the department teach in the magistracy.
