A scientific-practical conference was held on the topic “Source studies of the written monuments of the peoples of Central Asia created in the ancient and Middle Ages”

On January 20, 2023, a scientific-practical conference was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of History, Professor Mirsodiq Ishakov on the topic “Source studies of the written monuments of the peoples of Central Asia created in the ancient and Middle Ages “. The conference aims to study the huge historical and cultural heritage, historical processes created in the countries of the East, especially in the Central Asian region, to study the scientific and theoretical foundations of the emergence and development stages of textual writing, to determine the place of Central Asian source studies in the development of world historical knowledge, and the relevance of studying the history and culture of Central Asia in our country. to further revive the scientific researches conducted on the issues of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to consult new solutions to the problems in these areas, to effectively launch the training of young orientalists-source studies and historians, to deepen the scientific and theoretical foundations of the study of historical sources and scientific works in our republic and abroad, – review and analysis of new views on the history of the development of science, expand the possibilities of using works from manuscript funds in the further development of scientific research; Issues such as the study of the historical foundations of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the Eastern and Western countries and defining the perspectives of mutual relations were thoroughly discussed and practical proposals were developed. As a result of this conference, the collection of the Republican scientific-practical conference entitled “Source studies of the written monuments of the peoples of Central Asia created in the Ancient and Middle Ages” and the Doctor of History, professor, youth coach who served in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Is’hakov Mirsodiq Mirsultanovich, named “Deeply knowledgeable and tolerant scholar”, a collection of congratulations on his 80th birthday, was published. Brief information about the honored youth coach of the Republic of Uzbekistan Is’hakov Mirsodiq Mirsultanovich. Mirsodiq Mirsultanovich, Doctor of History, Professor of the Department of Source Studies and Sufism Hermeneutics, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, successfully defended his candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Verb system in the Sogdian language” and his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Paleographical study of the Sogdian written monuments”, thereby becoming a major innovation in the world Sogdian science. In 1970-1978, working as a researcher and senior researcher at the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, he gained real field archaeological experience and achieved the complete archaeological discovery of the contents of the burial chamber of the Avesta period in the ruins of Yerqorgon in Kashka Darya, and in written sources. For many years, he worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Hamid Sulaymanov of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and then as the head of the department. He worked as the director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and during this period (1998-2000 years) the period of radical renewal of the institute’s activities, reorganization of structural structures, and the turning of the conceptual foundations of historical research towards objectivity and truthfulness was initiated. In 1978-1981, the scientist’s pedagogical activities as an associate professor at the Tashkent State Institute of Culture, from 1998 as the head of the Department of History of the Peoples of Central Asia at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, then as the head of the Department of Source Studies and Sufism Hermeneutics, and now as a professor of the same department are highly appreciated. The scientific activity of the scientist is varied, about ten monographs, other publications related to the problems of “Avesta”, a unique historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of our nation, publications of this monument with scientific explanations in Uzbek, activities in several scientific state grant projects are recognized by the scientific community. His services as the organizer of the traditional annual conference of the Republic on the topic “Actual issues of historical source studies, historiography, method and methodology of historical research” are commendable.
