Republican scientific-practical conference “Lexicology and lexicography in Central Asia: traditions and modern scientific schools”
On 1 of April 2019, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Lexicology and Lexicology in Central Asia: Traditions and Modern Scientific Schools” was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
At the conference were discussed the areas of interaction with universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Oriental philology, a presentation by scholars who deal with topical issues of the vocabulary studies, and was reviewed the results of lexicographic studies of young researchers.
Also at the conference were addressed such issues as: medieval oriental vocabulary studies; vocabulary studies in Central Asia; vocabulary studies in Iran in the twentieth century; constructive properties of reference dictionaries; methods of interpreting dictionaries; transcription questions in dictionaries; phonological studies in dictionaries; grammatical (morphological, syntactic) research in dictionaries; modern vocabulary studies: achievements and problems; use of computer in vocabulary studies.
The conference featured presentations by leading scientists and researchers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
