Roundtable Discussion on “Central and South Asia: Historical Ties, Modern Cooperation, and Development Prospects” Held
On February 7, 2026, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Central and South Asia: Historical Ties, Modern Cooperation, and Development Prospects” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan and the Sustainable Development Center.
The event was dedicated to discussing historical ties between the regions of Central and South Asia, current cooperation, and future development prospects.
The roundtable was opened by the Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Professor Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva.
During the discussion, important proposals and initiatives were put forward to promote cooperation in the fields of education and science, strengthen cultural diplomacy, and ensure sustainable development.
At the end of the event, a question-and-answer session was held. The roundtable served as an important platform for strengthening cooperation between Central and South Asian countries and expanding academic and cultural ties.
