Webinar on Uzbek and Turkish literary relations
On March 10, 2023, at the Department of “Oriental Literature and Comparative Literary Studies” of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, a webinar was organized by Vali Savash Yelok, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Türkiye, on the topic “Uzbek and Turkish literary relations”. At this webinar, the associate professor gave an interesting scientific lecture on the path of Uzbek-Turkish literary ties from their historical roots to the present day. Associate professor Vali Savash Yelok spoke about translations of Uzbek writers’ works into Turkish language and outlined current issues of translation in modern translation studies. The webinar was attended by professors, doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduates of the department, as well as professors from other universities of the republic.
