ALISHER NAVOI : RESERVOIR OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD CIVILIZATION
On 9th of February 2019, at TSIOS was held an event on the occasion of the birthday of the representative of Uzbek classical literature, the great Uzbek poet, enlightener, statesman Nizamiddin Mir Alisher Navoi. The event was attended by guests, teaching staff and students of TSIOS.
The event was opened by the Rector of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies Prof. Abdurahim Mannanov. He noted that Alisher Navoi was a unique historical figure and combined various talents and skills – he was a statesman, a genius poet, and the founder of the Uzbek language. People’s Writer of Uzbekistan Mohammad Ali told to the audience about the history of the creation of the work “Navoi and Baykaro”. At the event, a lot was said about the poet and were recited his beautiful works.
During the event, members of the art circle “Sarafroz” performed beautiful gazelles of poet, presented scenes from the poet’s life and work. The songs performed by students of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan made a big impression on the audience.
At the end of the literary evening, the winners of the video, stands and photographs contest, dedicated to the work of Alisher Navoi, and students who actively participated in organizing the event were awarded diplomas.
