Special scholarship for girls at TSUOS

The decree of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Approval of the strategy for achieving gender equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030” was adopted on May 28, 2021. Based on this decree, it is planned to introduce special scholarships to support talented women studying in higher education institutions. In December 2022, a special scholarship named after Hero of Uzbekistan Suyima Ganiyeva for talented female students was introduced at Tashkent state university of oriental studies.

The special scholarship named after Suyima Ganiyeva has been awarded to talented orientalist girls who have conducted significant scientific research in the fields of Navoi and Oriental studies, as well as created research related to Suyima Ganiyeva’s work, starting from the 2022-2023 academic year. In the 2023-2024 academic year, four female students, who distinguished themselves from their peers with their actions, and high mastery, published scientific articles and brochures in the field of Navoi and Oriental studies, as well as gave lectures at conferences. In particular, Shozoda Fatkhullayeva, a 2nd-year graduate student of the Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies, Rukhshona Hamidova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Chinese Studies, Mushtari Rustamova, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Japanese Studies, and Yoqutoy Jurakulova, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies, are the winners of this year’s special scholarship. It should be said with joy that the introduction of the scholarship named after the well-known Navoi scientist is a great incentive for women at university.
