TSUOS delegation in Korea
As we reported earlier, the delegation of our university led by the rector of TSUOS G. Rikhsiyeva returned from the visit to the Republic of Korea. As part of the official visit, on October 13, 2023, TSUOS rector G. Rikhsiyeva and the dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies Sh. Usmonova participated in the event organized in connection with the “34th anniversary of the granting of the status of the state language to the Uzbek language” at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea. The presentation of the book “Uzbek language” (for foreigners) authored by G.Rikhsiyeva was also held as part of the event. The representatives of our university, led by the rector of TSUOS, G.Rikhsiyeva, met with the management of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) and discussed future plans, such as the establishment of a simultaneous translation center and the improvement of translators’ qualifications. Representatives of the delegation also took part in the “Uzbek language festival” organized by HUFS during the visit. The presentation of the book “Uzbek language” was held as part of the event. G. Rikhsiyeva met with the students of the Uzbek language education department of the university and gave them a lecture on the Uzbek language. For information, HUFS is ranked 575th in the “QS World University Rankings”, and 30 students are admitted to the Uzbek language department of the “Central Asian Studies” department every year. On October 16, 2023, TSUOS representatives visited HUFS Faculty of Language and Literature. The delegation of TSUOS was received with high respect in this institution. During the dialogues with the management of the faculty, bilateral scientific research, projects planned to be implemented in cooperation, and future plans were discussed.
