A Meeting with Representatives of 27 Prestigious Chinese Universities Was Held at the Confucius Institute under Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
A major international event aimed at elevating cultural and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and China to a new level was held at the Confucius Institute under Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS). Organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Testing International (CTI), the “3rd HSK Study in China Fair” opened new opportunities for Uzbek learners of the Chinese language and HSK candidates.
As part of the event, the Confucius Institute welcomed a large delegation representing 27 leading Chinese universities, including world-renowned institutions such as Renmin University of China, Tianjin University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, and Wuhan University.
During the opening ceremony, the delegation members were warmly welcomed, and special emphasis was placed on the growing interest of Uzbek youth in the Chinese language and culture within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative. The significant role of the TSUOS Confucius Institute in this process was also highly acknowledged.
During the bilateral discussions held at the Confucius Institute, the parties agreed on developing cooperation in several strategic areas beyond language education, including:
• Academic Exchange — enhancing student and faculty exchange programs;
• Joint Research — implementing collaborative scientific research projects;
• Double Degree Programs — launching joint educational programs based on modern methodologies;
• Digital Education — introducing digital and innovative language teaching technologies.
This historic visit and exhibition will contribute not only to strengthening academic cooperation between universities, but also to further deepening friendship and partnership between the peoples of Uzbekistan and China.
