Cooperation Between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Liaoning Pedagogical University Continues to Strengthen
On June 8, 2026, Liaoning Pedagogical University in the People’s Republic of China hosted the international scientific conference entitled “China–Uzbekistan Humanitarian Exchanges and Mutual Learning of Regional Civilizations”, along with a series of events dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the two universities.
A delegation from Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), led by Rector Gulchehra Rixsiyeva, participated in these prestigious events. During the conference, Rector Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva and Vice-Rector Nodir Karimov were ceremonially awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Liaoning Pedagogical University.
This distinguished recognition was granted in appreciation of their contributions to advancing effective cooperation between the two higher education institutions, supporting research activities, and strengthening educational, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and China.
During the ceremony, the leadership of Liaoning Pedagogical University emphasized that cooperation with Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has reached a new level in recent years. Joint research projects, academic exchange programs, and initiatives aimed at promoting intercultural and inter-civilizational dialogue were highlighted among the key achievements of the partnership.
In addition, an important agreement marking a new stage of cooperation was signed, extending the joint “2+2” educational program between the two universities. The program enables students to complete part of their studies in Uzbekistan and the remainder in China, contributing to the training of internationally competitive specialists.
Students participating in the “2+2” program also presented the results of their academic and research activities. Ms. Liu Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Liaoning Pedagogical University, presented books to the TSUOS delegation, highlighting the symbolic significance of bilateral academic cooperation. The events also included the opening ceremony of the China–Uzbekistan Civilizations Research Center at Liaoning Pedagogical University.
During the meetings, both sides discussed expanding academic exchanges, implementing joint research projects, and further deepening dialogue between civilizations.
