COOPERATION BETWEEN TSUOS AND THE UNIVERSITY OF PISA CONTINUES TO EXPAND
On 28 October 2026, Nodir Karimov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), and Nilufar Imamova, Head of the International Rankings Department, held meetings with professors from the University of Pisa, Italy.
In particular, a meeting with Professors Guidetti and Barbati from the University of Pisa’s Department of Civilisations and Forms of Knowledge focused on further strengthening cooperation between the two universities, expanding academic mobility opportunities, and establishing new areas of collaboration within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme.
The discussions also covered prospects for developing joint master’s and double degree programmes between the universities. Furthermore, an agreement was reached to facilitate the participation of two TSUOS academic staff members in Erasmus+ ICM mobility at the University of Pisa in 2027.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue their cooperation within the Erasmus+ ICM programme in 2028.
The meeting is expected to contribute to advancing academic cooperation between TSUOS and the University of Pisa, developing joint educational programmes, and expanding opportunities for international experience exchange among academic staff.
