Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the University of Sussex Discuss Prospects for Cooperation
On June 24, 2026, an online meeting was held between representatives of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the University of Sussex, one of the leading higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.
The University of Sussex is ranked 273rd in the QS World University Rankings and is internationally recognized for its strong performance in the social sciences.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for establishing academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities. Particular attention was given to potential collaboration in the fields of English language and literature, history, anthropology, journalism, and international relations.
Representatives of the University of Sussex delivered a presentation introducing the university’s educational and research activities, international cooperation experience, faculties, and strategic priorities.


The participants also explored possibilities for faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, and the organization of international conferences and seminars.
To strengthen future cooperation, both sides agreed to exchange direct working contacts and maintain regular communication on promising areas of collaboration.
The meeting marked an important step in expanding the international partnerships of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, strengthening ties with leading foreign universities, and creating new international opportunities for students and academic staff.
