A presentation of the Chinese translations of the novels “Mehrobdan Chayon” and “O’tkan Kunlar” written by Abdulla Qadiri was held at TSUOS.

the presentation of the translations of the novels “Mehrobdan Chayon” and “O’tkan Kunlar” into Chinese by Abdulla Qadiri, a well-known poet and writer, playwright and publicist, the founder of the novel genre in Uzbek literature, passed at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
On the eve of the 130th anniversary of the birth of A. Qadiri – on April 8, the presentation of these books was held at the Information and Resource Center of TSUOS.
At the event, TSUOS rector Professor Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva, representatives of the embassy headed by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Szyun, director of the Abdulla Qadiri House-Museum Khondamir Qadiri, representatives of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Hilola Nazirova, head of the creative school named after Abdulla Qadiri, as well as industry experts and university professors. -teachers, researchers and students participated.

The translation of the novels was carried out by experienced experts in their field – Di Siyaosya, professor of Sichuan Foreign Languages University, doctor of philology, and professor Saodat Nosirova, director of the Uzbekistan-China Confucius Institute at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, doctor of philology. The books were published in large circulation by the Social Science Publishing House of the People’s Republic of China.
The relevance of translation, its importance in the friendly relations between the two countries, complications related to the translation process and the importance of such translation work were discussed at the event.
This translation serves to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and peoples, and allows Chinese readers to become more familiar with the Uzbek nation, its rich history and culture through Uzbek literature.
