TSUOS Hosts Meeting with Representative of Georgetown University in Qatar
On June 5, 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a meeting with Professor Walid Ziad, a representative of Georgetown University in Qatar and its Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS).
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of education, scientific research, academic mobility, and prospects for international cooperation. Particular attention was given to collaborative research on Central and South Asia, joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, and the organization of international conferences.
The participants also held preliminary discussions regarding the Proposal of Collaboration Form submitted to establish institutional cooperation between Georgetown University in Qatar and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen academic and research ties, and work toward the implementation of joint projects in the future.
