A Preventive Meeting on Cybersecurity Was Held at TSUOS

On October 9, a preventive meeting dedicated to cybersecurity issues was held in the conference hall of the Confucius Institute at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), with the participation of the university’s faculty members and staff.

The meeting was attended by Bakhtiyor Murodjonovich Mirzajonov, Chief Specialist at the Cybersecurity Center, a state institution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He provided explanations on current cybersecurity challenges, the protection of information resources, existing online threats, and measures to prevent them.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to cyberattacks, internet fraud, phishing messages, the protection of personal data and confidential work-related information, as well as compliance with digital security rules.

It was also emphasized that strict adherence to cybersecurity requirements, caution when dealing with suspicious emails and links, increased vigilance when using information systems, and the personal responsibility of every employee are essential for preventing cyber threats.

The preventive meeting aimed to enhance university employees’ knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, promote a stronger culture of information security, and increase awareness of potential threats in the digital environment.
