A scientific and educational event entitled “Arabic Studies in Uzbekistan: Traditions, Contemporary Research, and Prospects” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
On December 18, 2025, a scientific and educational event titled “Arabic Studies in Uzbekistan: Traditions, Contemporary Research, and Prospects” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was attended by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Arab countries to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The conference focused on the stages of formation and development of Arabic studies, contemporary research conducted in this field, and priority tasks for future development. University professors and lecturers, young researchers, doctoral students, and undergraduate students took part in the event.
During the event, presentations were delivered on the rich academic traditions of Arabic studies in Uzbekistan, current issues in the study of the Arabic language and literature, source studies, translation studies, and interdisciplinary research. Achievements in the field and promising future projects were also discussed.
The scientific and educational event contributed to enhancing academic capacity in Arabic studies, promoting the exchange of experience, and supporting young specialists.
