An International Scientific Lecture Was Held at TSUOS
On April 29, 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted an international scientific lecture on the topic “Orientalism, Eurocentrism, and Decolonial Approaches: Challenges of Rewriting the History of Eastern Art.”
The lecture was delivered by Dilrabo Tosheva, Professor at the International Institute for Silk Road Studies and Postdoctoral Researcher of the Aga Khan Program at Harvard University. During the lecture, she shared her views on reanalyzing the history of Eastern art through modern academic approaches, the significance of decolonial perspectives, and current issues within the global academic community.
The event also featured engaging discussions and Q&A sessions with the participation of professors, researchers, and students.
