International Mother Language Day at TSUOS
On February 21, 2025, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan, organized a special event dedicated to International Mother Language Day.
The event was inaugurated with welcoming speeches by TSUOS Rector Gulchehra Rikhsieva and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan, Muhammad Monirul Islam. In their addresses, they emphasized the significance of language and culture in societal development and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in preserving and promoting native languages.
Representatives from ministries and international organizations also participated in the event. Students’ performances in Uzbek and Eastern languages, along with musical presentations by international students accompanied by the national instrument dutor, added a unique spirit to the celebration. The event concluded with a performance of a traditional Bangladeshi dance.
