International Scientific Conference “The Termez Hadith School: Scholarly Heritage and Contemporary Research” opens
The International Scientific Conference titled “The Termez Hadith School: Scholarly Heritage and Contemporary Research” has officially commenced.
At the conference, N. R. Karimov, Vice-Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, delivered a presentation entitled “Hakim al-Tirmidhi’s Concept of Ilm al-Nafs and Its Role in Contemporary Islamic Psychology.”
The prestigious conference is being held within the framework of the First International Forum of Islamic Civilization: “The Path of Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment.” The forum reflects the practical implementation of the comprehensive reforms carried out in New Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. These reforms aim to lay the foundation for the Third Renaissance, promote in-depth research into Islamic intellectual and scholarly heritage, and enhance its international recognition.
The conference has brought together nearly 25 prominent Islamic scholars, muftis from Muslim countries, as well as distinguished public and government figures from more than ten countries, including Jordan, the United Kingdom, India, Algeria, Italy, Egypt, Türkiye, and the countries of Central Asia.
