Meeting on Cooperation with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
Within the framework of the official visit, the Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva, held a meeting with the Rector of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Professor Nobuo Haruna.
During the meeting, issues related to the organization of special Japanese language courses for the fields of journalism, economics, international relations, and tourism were discussed. In addition, a proposal was made to organize short-term professional development courses for Japanese language faculty members of TSUOS at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
The parties agreed to increase the number of students from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies coming to TSUOS to study Uzbek and Russian languages from 5 to 10, as well as to receive Japanese students studying Dari, Urdu, and Pashto languages at TSUOS and organize language internships for them.
Furthermore, on a parity basis, an opportunity was created to send 10 students from TSUOS to Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
