Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Discusses Future Cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
An online meeting was held between representatives of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Dr. Gisela Zimmermann, Director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Regional Office for Central Asia, together with Kanybek Sydykbekov, DAAD Representative for Uzbekistan at the Central Asia Regional Office.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in international research projects and grant programs, doctoral education and research activities, as well as the opportunities offered by DAAD scholarship and grant programs for faculty members, doctoral candidates, and young researchers. The parties also discussed ways to promote academic mobility and launch joint research initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop concrete proposals on priority areas of future cooperation and to continue strengthening their partnership.
During the meeting, Dr. Gisela Zimmermann announced her planned visit to Uzbekistan in October of this year and expressed her intention to visit Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for detailed discussions on promising areas of future cooperation.
