Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Launches “Uzbekistan Summer School 2026”

The program is designed to introduce participants from around the world to Uzbekistan’s rich history, unique cultural heritage, national traditions, customs, and the country’s remarkable modern development.

This year’s Summer School brings together students, researchers, and young professionals from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, India, Germany, Türkiye, and Belgium. By bringing together representatives of diverse cultures, the program promotes academic and cultural dialogue, strengthens international friendship, and contributes to enhancing Uzbekistan’s global profile.

As part of the program, participants attend practical Uzbek language classes alongside lectures and seminars delivered by the university’s distinguished faculty members on Uzbekistan’s history, culture, national values, customs, and traditions. In addition, the Summer School features cultural workshops and masterclasses on traditional handicrafts, folk arts, Uzbek cuisine, music, and dance, providing participants with a deeper understanding of the country’s rich cultural heritage.

To complement classroom learning with firsthand experience, participants take part in guided tours of Tashkent’s major landmarks, museums, historical monuments, and modern urban infrastructure. The program also includes educational visits to the historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, where participants explore the legacy of the Great Silk Road, world-renowned architectural masterpieces, and the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people.
