International Tourism Day Celebrated at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
On September 28, a festive event dedicated to International Tourism Day was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was organized by the Department of Tourism of the university.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by G. Rikhsiyeva, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. In her speech, the Rector highlighted the importance of tourism in today’s world, the significance of developing students’ knowledge and practical skills in this field, as well as the role of qualified specialists in promoting international tourism.
The event was attended by students of the Tourism program and the university’s faculty members.
The festive program featured artistic performances, gastronomic presentations showcasing national dishes from different countries, a special photo zone, a tourism-themed quest, interactive games, and various engaging activities for participants.
The gastronomic tables featuring national dishes from different countries attracted particular interest among the participants. These presentations provided students with an opportunity to learn more about the national cuisines, traditions, and cultural heritage of different peoples.
The tourism quest and interactive games allowed students to demonstrate their knowledge of tourism, teamwork, communication skills, and ability to respond to various tasks effectively.
Throughout the event, students also demonstrated their creative talents, highlighting that tourism is not only about travelling, but also an important field that brings people and cultures closer together.
The International Tourism Day celebration provided students with an opportunity to spend meaningful time together, gain new knowledge and experiences, and further strengthen their interest in the tourism sector.
