Seminar-Training held on the Role of Travel Agents in Tourism Development
The Department of Tourism of the Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, in collaboration with the Asialuxe Travel Academy, organized a seminar-training for students majoring in Tourism and Hospitality on the topic “The Role of Travel Agents in the Development of the Tourism Industry.”
The event was opened by the Head of the Department of Tourism, Associate Professor Ch. Khusanov, who emphasized the significant role of travel agents in the tourism sector and the importance of training modern, qualified professionals.
The seminar featured participation from F. Kurbonov, Director of Asialuxe Travel Academy; D. Alimukhamedova, Head of Shine Star Tour; and V. Khairulina, Founder of V Tour company. They shared their practical experience in travel agency operations, customer relations, and tour package development.
During the seminar, the speakers highlighted that a travel agent is not only a service provider but also a key link between tourists and the tourism market. They explained, through real-life examples, that success in today’s competitive tourism industry requires in-depth knowledge, strong communication skills, responsibility, quick thinking, and practical experience.
Participants showed great interest in real work scenarios, nuances of client interaction, and recommendations for improving service quality. Students actively engaged in open discussions with the experts and received answers to their questions.
Such seminar-trainings organized at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies contribute to strengthening students’ knowledge, guiding them toward practical professional activity, and enhancing the overall quality and effectiveness of the educational process.
