“Webinar on SDG”
On October 27, at the Department of Western languages of the Faculty of Turkology Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, a webinar was held on 17 Sustainable Development Goals “SDG 1 No poverty” and “SDG 2 Zero hunger”, which are being implemented for sustainable development until 2030 to all countries that are members of the United Nations. In it, the English teacher Komilova Dildora gave information about hunger and poverty, and its leading causes, which are widely spread worldwide. Fourth and second-year students of the History faculty Chinese and English languages participated in different engaging activities with their team, and tried to find solutions to these issues. Furthermore, students were able to give sample projects within the context of Uzbekistan. Students took part in interactive exercises after the interview and worked in groups during the webinar on how to overcome these Global problems and how to contribute by demonstrating their poster presentations. They felt like a part of a global society as well as a global citizen, exemplifying possible life solutions to some of the 17 goals. This webinar was conducted in English.
