In her presentation, S. S. Gaziyeva highlighted tourism as one of the key drivers of sustainable economic development, with particular emphasis on its role in promoting economic growth, creating new jobs, fostering regional development, preserving cultural heritage, and improving public well-being.

The conference also addressed the importance of maintaining a balance between economic interests, social well-being, and environmental sustainability in tourism development. Discussions further focused on the responsible use of tourism resources and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage for future generations.

This academic contribution is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production; and SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals.

Participation in the international conference provides an important platform for expanding the international scientific cooperation of the Scientific Centre for Sustainable Economic Development, exploring best practices in sustainable development, and facilitating future joint research projects.
