TSUOS Chinese Studies Community Meets Representatives of a Prestigious University Ranked Among the World’s TOP 30
On 30 October 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a meeting between representatives of Fudan University, ranked 26th in the international overall rankings and 3rd in the national rankings of the People’s Republic of China, and TSUOS faculty members specialising in Chinese studies, doctoral researchers, master’s students and undergraduates conducting research in this field.
The meeting was attended by Professor Saodat Nasirova, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies; faculty deans; heads of relevant departments; and representatives of Fudan University, including Professor Xue Haixia, Chair of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature; Li Xinmei, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Russian Language; Professor Li Zhenhua; Professor Jin Haina of the Faculty of Translation Studies; Xin Wenquan, Associate Professor at the Faculty of English; and Xia Peiyao, International Programmes Coordinator.
Following brief presentations by the guests, the meeting continued in a question-and-answer format. Detailed responses were provided to questions raised by researchers and master’s students regarding the strengthening of academic ties between the two universities, cooperation in education and scientific research, the implementation of joint projects, and academic exchange programmes for faculty members and students. The meeting made a strong impression on the students and provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with representatives of one of China’s leading universities.
