An Event Aimed at Employing Graduates at TSUOS
In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks defined at the extended meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 8, 2025, regarding the employment of higher education graduates, a large international event was held on September 18, 2025, at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
This event was organized with the aim of ensuring graduate employment, enhancing the university’s international reputation, and strengthening direct cooperation with foreign employers. Representatives of 38 major companies from the People’s Republic of China participated in the event.
Alongside leading Chinese companies, representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also took part in the forum. In addition, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies presented its main areas of activity, its personnel training system, and its experience in international cooperation through a presentation.
During the event, issues related to graduate employment, opportunities for internships in foreign companies, and prospects for attracting Chinese investments into the training process of China studies specialists were comprehensively discussed.
At the same time, leaders of the China Association of Non-Governmental Scientific and Technological Entrepreneurs and the China Association of Private Science and Technology Industrialists were provided with detailed information about the university’s cooperation opportunities. They received comprehensive answers to their questions and expressed interest in developing joint projects, internships, and educational and scientific cooperation in the future.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of Chinese companies became closely acquainted with the university’s scientific and pedagogical potential, as well as its long-standing experience in training qualified personnel. They particularly emphasized the high level of knowledge and skills of TSUOS graduates and expressed strong interest in recruiting them to their companies in the future.
This event was organized as an important initiative aimed at implementing the goals of SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. Special attention was paid to ensuring graduate employment, facilitating their successful integration into the labor market, and increasing youth employment. Establishing direct communication with foreign companies, particularly leading Chinese enterprises, expanded job and internship opportunities for graduates.
Additionally, the event discussed the development of sustainable cooperation between the university and international employers, attracting investments, and improving the system of training qualified personnel. As a result, this initiative contributed to providing young people with decent jobs, supporting their professional development, and contributing to economic growth.
