Industrial Enterprise Familiarization Excursion (SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth)
In cooperation with the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a familiarization excursion to a leading industrial enterprise was organized for students of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. This initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 – promoting decent work conditions, enhancing youth employment, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
The event took place at the “Bakan Tex” enterprise located in Tashkent. During the excursion, students were given the opportunity to observe real industrial production processes in practice. They received detailed information about the main stages of production, modern technological processes, occupational safety standards, product quality control systems, and the enterprise’s internal management structure.
Students observed the operations in production workshops, which helped them better understand labor organization in industry, productivity improvement, and the implementation of innovative technologies. This contributed to the development of their professional competencies.
At the end of the event, company specialists presented information on export-oriented products, priority areas of innovative production, and ongoing efforts to create new jobs. It was emphasized that such cooperation not only strengthens students’ practical knowledge but also contributes to youth employment and the development of the industrial sector of the economy.
