Lecture on Sufi Heritage Held at Leiden University under the Erasmus+ ICM Programme

Associate Professor Mafhurat Omonova of the Department of Eastern Philosophy and Hermeneutics at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies delivered a lecture on Sufi heritage at the prestigious Leiden University in the Netherlands within the framework of the Erasmus+ ICM academic mobility programme.

The lecture focused on the formation and development of Sufi thought in Central Asia, its role in the spiritual and philosophical life of the region, the legacy of prominent Sufi thinkers, and the contemporary relevance of Sufi ideas.

The lecture provided students and faculty members of Leiden University with an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the rich spiritual heritage of Central Asia and to exchange views on Eastern philosophy and Sufi traditions.

This academic meeting represented an important initiative aimed at promoting scientific cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and the Netherlands, strengthening international academic ties, and promoting the scholarly and spiritual heritage of Central Asia at the international level.
