The Brilliance of National Values: The First Day of the “Boysun Bahori” Festival
The 2026 program of the International Folklore Festival “Boysun Bahori,” held in Boysun district of Surkhandarya region, began its very first day with vibrant and meaningful events.
On the opening day of the festival, local and international participants widely showcased national values, folklore traditions, and ethnographic heritage. As part of the events, traditional melodies and songs, national dances, folk games, and stage performances were presented to the audience. Participants also had the opportunity to closely explore the customs and ancient rituals unique to the Surkhan oasis.
Cultural venues organized within the festival area featured handicraft samples, exhibitions of national costumes, and various examples of traditional folk art for the public. In particular, national fabrics, embroidery products, and traditional bread products attracted great interest from visitors.
The festival also plays an important role in enhancing the tourism potential of the region.
