Independent Learning — an Important Factor in Developing Students’ Knowledge: An Extended Academic and Methodological Seminar-Training Held at the University
September 9, an extended academic and methodological seminar-training on the topic “Independent Learning — an Important Factor in Developing Students’ Knowledge” was held in Hall No. 5 of the university’s main building, with the participation of heads of higher schools and heads of departments.
The event was attended by associate professors of the TESOL program at Webster University in Tashkent, as well as Serbian international expert Maria Kovac and Dilafruz Abdumajidova.
The event was organized with the aim of developing students’ independent learning and research skills, ensuring meaningful organization of extracurricular academic activities, and facilitating the exchange of best practices.
As part of this initiative, a collection of academic articles published by the university was prepared. During today’s seminar-training, certificates were presented to the authors of the articles.
The first part of the seminar was held in a plenary format, during which general strategies for organizing independent learning were discussed.
Following the seminar, all university departments were tasked with thoroughly reviewing ways to properly implement independent learning within each academic subject and ensure its effective integration into the educational process.
