The Spirit of Navruz and the Harmony of National Values: Festive Atmosphere at TSUOS
On March 21, 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a cultural and educational celebration dedicated to the national holiday of Navruz under the slogan “Honoring Navruz Means Honoring Humanity!”
The event was opened by the university’s rector, Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva, who congratulated everyone on Navruz, the symbol of spring and renewal. She emphasized that this ancient holiday represents the national values, traditions, and unity of the Uzbek people.
As part of the celebration program, talented students who had won various university competitions were awarded. In addition, students and performers presented songs, national dances, poetry, and folklore performances. Festive tables representing different regions were organized and presented.
In particular, musical performances by the “Oybek” doira group led by Oybek Tillayev, the university choir “Sharq navolari,” and the “Sanduvoch” ensemble added a special festive spirit to the event. The “Kelinsalom” ceremony performed by female students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences reflected the beauty of national traditions.
During the event, songs performed by the People’s Hafiz of Uzbekistan Orolmirzo Safarov, pop singer Masrur Usmonov, as well as other artists, along with bakhshi performances and poetry recitations, created a joyful holiday atmosphere.
National dances, dutar melodies, and various artistic performances by students further enhanced the spirit of Navruz.
The event provided unforgettable festive moments for the university community and students while strengthening respect for national values, patriotism, and national traditions among young people.
